Player Equipment Information

Players should come to each game and practice properly equipped. Included in your player’s registration is a team cap, game jersey, and Campbell Little League practice jersey.

For our All-Stars & Future Stars teams, Campbell Little League supplies jerseys & hats at no cost to the player. Fan Gear is also available for separate purchase.

If a player lacks a helmet or bat, Campbell Little League has many extras that can be loaned to a player. Campbell Little League is also pleased to offer scholarships for the purchase of equipment for those who demonstrate financial hardship. Please email [email protected] to request a simple scholarship application.

Parents will need to purchase separately for their player the following uniform related items:

  • Baseball pants (for games), belt & socks: Team Manager shall advise as to color.
  • Baseball pants (for practices): Team Manager shall advise as to color.
  • Baseball appropriate Cleats: rubber or molded cleats for T-Ball through Majors Divisions. Intermediate, Juniors & Seniors Division players may wear metal baseball spikes depending on the field. Fields with artificial grass or mounds do not permit metal spikes.
  • Some teams may decide to separately design, order & purchase their own team apparel and fan gear, such as t-shirts, practice jerseys & sweatshirts.

Players also need the following baseball equipment:

  • Baseball glove

         - USA Baseball certified bats are required for T-Ball through Majors divisions.

         - BBCOR certified bats are allowed in the Intermediate Division and higher.

         - USSSA certified (travel ball) bats are NOT ALLOWED in any division in Little League

  • Baseball helmet:

          - T-Ball, Rookie, Farm, Minors REQUIRE players to wear a helmet with a facemask. (Example)

         - Majors, Intermediate, Juniors, & Seniors players may use a helmet with a jaw guard. (Example)

  • Protective cup (male players) is required for players to play the position of catcher and is recommended for all male players in the Farm division and higher

Optional Equipment:

The following equipment is optional:

  • Baseball Bag (most players bring one)
  • Water bottle (most players bring one). We have a water fountain and filling station next to our Snack Shack.
  • Personal catcher’s gear: Campbell Little League provides each team with a set of team gear. Players particularly interested in playing catcher may purchase their own gear. This becomes more common starting in the Majors Division.

If you have a question about equipment, please ask your team manager or email us at [email protected].
