Dear CLL Families,
Just when you thought your inbox was safe from us… the Events Committee is back! (Briefly. We promise.) It’s hard to believe, but we’re heading into the final stretch of the season. Regular season games will wrap up this week, and playoffs will be completed by the end of the month and that means it’s time to celebrate.
CLOSING CEREMONIES SCHEDULE
Closing ceremonies will be on Saturday, May 31, at 9:30 (player arrival time of 9:15 am). All players should attend in uniform as we recognize a season of great effort, big plays, and plenty of baseball memories.
In keeping with tradition, we will have a Home Run Derby before closing ceremonies, where some majors players will hit as many home runs as they can in an allotted amount of time. Majors players are welcome to field balls in the outfield; all other players can cheer from the stands. Many teams plan end of the year team parties after closing ceremonies. As such, here is the schedule for Saturday, May 31:
- 7:45 am: 12U players meet at the Farm Field for a video montage
- 8:00 am: Home Run Derby hitters arrive and warm up
- 8:30 am: Home Run Derby on the Minors field, Majors players may shag balls
- 9:15 am: All players and coaches arrive in uniform and assemble on the Farm field
- 9:30 am-10:30 am: Closing ceremonies on the Majors field
